In recognition of the scale, dignity and historic asset of the existing building, the existing granite-clad frame and colonnades will be retained, cleaned and refurbished. The existing glazing, lifts and roof will be comprehesively refurbished, along with new lighting and signage. The existing courtyards will be enlarged. New shop fronts will be provided across the building.
The unit currently occupied by Lloyds Bank will be retained, as will the locally famous Elisabeth Frink Black Horse sculpture and the gold painted post box celebrating Greg Rutherford’s 2012 Olympic Long Jump gold medal.
Lloyds Court will once again reflect its Heritage Asset status prodviding a vibrant centre for both its local community, and wider catchment.
